Black Atlantic proudly presents London’s first ever Klockworks label showcase at Village Underground on Saturday, August 30th.
Despite having only released eleven records since 2006 the Berlin imprint has become synonymous with a brand of melodious, twisted techno that draws as much from the mystical, post-club afterglow as it does from the peak-time insanity of a jam-packed Berghain dance floor.
Ben Klock will play an extended 5-hour set in addition to performances from Etapp Kyle and the newest member to the Klockworks family, Jeroen Search.
Illustrating the Klockworks concept will be Dutch visual designer Heleen Blanken who’ll bring her bespoke video projections to the walls of one of our favourite East London warehouses.
The party starts at 11pm on Saturday, August 30th and will go well into the Sunday morning sunlight.

Top Five - Levon VIncent

Ahead of our party this Saturday at Village Underground with Levon Vincent, Anthony Naples and Galcher Lustwerk, we’ve gone a different route for the ‘Top Five’ this week. Picking five of our favourite Levon Vincent tracks and giving three of them away, details on how to enter at the bottom of the page. In the meantime, enjoy the music.

1. ‘Woman Is The Devil’ - Deconstruct Music, 2008

Lauded by both Jus-Ed and Marcel Dettman at the time of it’s release, Levon’s ‘Invisible Bitchslap’ EP set him on the path from a little known New York producer to being booked around the World.

2. ‘Double Jointed Sex Freak (Part 1)’ - Novel Sound, 2009

That kick drum, the stabs, those whispers, and arguably one of the best track names ever.

3.  ‘Man Or Mistress’ - Novel Sound, 2011

Three minutes and nine seconds in. No one does it better.

4. ‘Rainstorm II’ - Novel Sound, 2009

A slow burner with one of the best slap-bass lines you’re likely to hear in house music.

5. ‘Speck’s Jam’ - Novel Sound 07, 2012

Instantly recognisable, instantly does the business on the dancefloor.

This week we’re giving away the ‘Man or Mistress’, ‘Stereo Systems’ and the ‘Rainstorm II’ EP, as well as two tickets to one winner.  Records courtesy of Rubadub
